The hardest start in search
No history. No rankings. No excuses.
A new website starts with nothing Google can trust: no backlinks, no click history, no reviews tied to the domain. Most agencies tell a new dealer to expect a year before search does anything. Mentor Golf Carts & Trailers did not have a year.
It is the third dealership in a group that began with Hartville Outdoor Products and grew into Hartville Golf Carts. We took the same make, model and content system that built those sites, dressed it in a new template with stronger visuals and smarter placement, and added the part neither of them sold: trailers.
Seven months in, the new domain ranks for as many keywords as Hartville Golf Carts did after eighteen.

The build
Same system. Sharper suit.
Mentor runs on the Hartville playbook: a page for every make, a page for every model, financing on every card. What changed was the presentation. Bigger photography, cleaner split content, and calls to action placed exactly where a buyer decides.
A homepage that sells two businesses
One store sells golf carts and trailers, two very different buyers. The homepage handles both: a banner that names them together, a brand bar, in-stock inventory with tabs for golf carts, scooters and trailers, a red promise strip, and photo tiles for every product line, from golf carts to trailers to e-bikes and UTVs.
Below that, split content sections on the dealership, financing for carts, trailers, e-bikes and scooters, and the full lineup, each with its own button, then a prequalify band.
Make pages with strategic placement
Each brand page opens on a lifestyle photo, then a jump bar to about, in-stock options, models, colors, gallery and order. The intro split puts the brand’s story beside two buttons, a financing band follows, and the in-stock carts for that brand sit right below with their prices, details and quote buttons.
Custom data drives what shows where. Prices, in-stock units, models and colors are placed programmatically, so every brand page carries the right inventory without anyone editing it by hand.
The difference
Trailers buy differently.
A golf cart buyer shops by look and feel. A trailer buyer shops by the job: what it hauls, how much it carries, how it dumps, and whether it will survive a contractor’s week. So the trailer section was built around work, not lifestyle, and organized three ways: by brand, by trailer type and by size.
A trailer hub organized by the job
The trailers hub links Big Tex, Quality Trailers and RC Trailers, every trailer type from enclosed cargo and dump to equipment, utility, car hauler and custom, and small, mid-sized and large trailers. In-stock trailers sit up front with their prices, and the showroom, inventory and financing tiles close the page.
We built the 30 brand, type and model pages for the trailer section as native page templates and imported them in one shot, ready to rank on day one.
Brand pages that honor the builder
Big Tex gets a split hero, a red jump bar to about, the lineup, why Big Tex, warranty, in-stock units and order, then a story section and the full lineup broken out by dump, equipment and tilt lines, each model with its own photo and page.
Model pages that sell the spec sheet
The Big Tex 14TD page opens with the trailer on one side and the pitch on the other: a 5-stage telescopic cylinder, a 45 degree dump angle and a 15,400 lb GVWR chassis, with a quote button and full specs. A jump bar leads to features, in-stock units, specifications, configurations, gallery and order.
Then the split content sections that this template does best: the cylinder, the chassis, the toolbox and tarp, each with its own photo and its own call to action, a financing band, in-stock selections and a quote form. Every spec comes from the manufacturer.
- Alternating split sections that put one feature, one photo and one button on screen at a time.
- Call for best price where pricing moves, so the page starts a conversation instead of losing a buyer.
How a new site ranks fast
SEO for new websites, done the dealer way.
A new domain cannot win on authority, so it has to win on coverage, structure and answers. Every piece below was in place before the traffic arrived.
Pages for every search
Make, model, type and size pages mean a buyer searching for an exact cart or trailer finds a page built for that exact search.
Programmatic placement
Custom data places prices, inventory, models and colors across the site, so hundreds of pages stay accurate and complete.
Answers buyers search
Articles answer the questions behind a purchase: does a golf cart have a title, what size trailer fits a cart, do trailers have VIN numbers.
Manufacturer specs only
Every spec on every model page comes from the maker, so search engines and AI assistants get facts they can repeat.
A proven playbook
The structure was already proven on Hartville Golf Carts, so Mentor launched on a system that works instead of a guess.
Local from day one
Mentor, Lake County and Cleveland area copy, a real showroom address and a phone number in every header.
The results

AI search
A new site AI already trusts.
In a single week, Microsoft Copilot and its partners cited Mentor 97 times, a 21.85% share of every citation across the questions tracked. On the top question, about Whisper W3 shipping times, Mentor earned more than half the citations.
AI crawlers now make up 17.13% of all traffic to the site, 1,505 requests this year from Microsoft, Amazon, Apple, Google, Anthropic and more. They are reading the model and trailer pages that power the answers buyers get.
The group
Three dealers. One playbook.
Hartville Outdoor Products started Hartville Golf Carts. Hartville Golf Carts started Mentor Golf Carts & Trailers. Each new business launched on the system the last one proved, which is why the newest of the three found its footing in months, not years.
Off-page SEO and strategy run through Studio 23 Group, part of the Best Website Builder Group network, so the whole group answers to one team.
