Ecommerce website design
A beautiful ecommerce website for small business: Tallow & Tide Co.
Handmade tallow skin care, sold nationwide from Melbourne, Florida.
Tallow & Tide Co. is a family and veteran owned skin care company run by Rachel and Dallas Taylor. They render their own tallow from locally sourced, grass fed and finished beef fat and turn it into whipped moisturizer, sun protection and bug protection. We built them a beautiful ecommerce website for small business owners who sell something real: a full WooCommerce store, designed to feel like the coast it comes from.

Where it started
A great product with no storefront.
Rachel and Dallas Taylor started Tallow & Tide Co. the slow way. They source beef fat from local farms, render and purify it themselves, then whip it into skin care with a short ingredient list and no harsh additives, parabens or synthetic fillers. Every tin is made in Melbourne, Florida.
Customers who found them at markets and events loved the product. One local aesthetician started using it as the last moisturizer for her own clients. But there was nowhere online to send anyone. No store, no product pages, no way to reorder, and nothing that explained why tallow, or why theirs.
They needed a store that could sell nationwide on day one, and that looked as handmade and coastal as the brand itself.

The design
Coastal, warm, and built to sell.
Small skin care brands live and die on trust. Shoppers cannot smell the product or feel the texture through a screen, so the site has to do that work: real photos, plain ingredients, and a short path from first look to checkout.
A design system pulled from the tin
We started from the brand they already had: the sunrise logo, the wavy label, the hand lettered wordmark. The site uses that same warm clay from the labels on its top bar and buttons, an elegant serif for headlines, and soft line drawn florals tucked behind the header and product details.
The homepage hero is a slider of their own product photography. A tin of Sun Shield held up against the Atlantic. A tin of Bug Shield resting on oak bark. Each slide carries one promise and one button, and the headline underline draws itself in as the slide changes.
- Their own photography in every section, never stock.
- Brand details from the label carried into type, color and line art.

Shop by what you need
Most shoppers do not arrive knowing what a tallow balm is. They arrive with a problem: a sunburn, dry winter skin, mosquitoes at the backyard cookout. So the store is organized around those needs, with collections for Sun Protection, Natural Skin Care and Bug Protection in the main navigation, plus a Sale collection for current offers.
Every product page leads with a large photo gallery, then the options that matter, like scent or size, then a clear Add to cart. Descriptions explain what is inside and how to use it, in plain words.
A store that grows past the website
Tallow & Tide sells in more places than its own checkout. A store locator page lets shoppers search for retail partners near them, with real customer reviews alongside. An events page shows where to meet the owners in person and try the products by hand.
A Collaborations page invites shops, spas and wellness brands to stock the line or order in bulk. One website now supports three kinds of sales: online orders, retail partners and wholesale.
The playbook
What makes a small business store feel premium.
A beautiful ecommerce website for a small business does not need a big catalog. It needs every page to earn trust and every page to move a shopper toward checkout. These are the pieces that do that work for Tallow & Tide.
Real product photos
Their own tins and jars shot on the beach, in the garden and in hand.
Needs based collections
Sun, skin and bug protection in the menu, so shoppers find the fix fast.
Clear product pages
Photo gallery, scent or size options and Add to cart, all above the fold.
A helpful blog
Articles that answer real questions about sunburn, bug bites and winter skin.
Local roots, national reach
Melbourne, Florida in the story and the image names, shipping coast to coast.
More than one channel
A store locator, events calendar and bulk ordering alongside online sales.
Results
Found by people with the problem it solves.
The blog was built to answer the questions shoppers type into Google before they ever think about tallow. That strategy is working. The article on how long bug repellent lasts now sits on the first page of Google for how long does mosquito repellent last, a search made about 720 times a month, and just off page one for a cluster of related questions. The site has also earned links from 47 referring domains, a real base for a brand this young.

The honest part
A small catalog can still look big.
Tallow & Tide sells four products. Many agencies would hand a brand like this a basic template with a product grid and call it done. We went the other way: collection pages, a store locator, an events page, a partner program and a blog, so a four product brand reads like an established company.
Search is still early. Most of the rankings so far come from the blog, not the product pages, and product keywords like tallow moisturizer are the next goal. Small batch makers also sell out, so we built the store to show stock clearly and let customers come back when a favorite is restocked.
What it proves
Handmade products deserve a handmade looking store.
Tallow & Tide went from a product people loved at markets to a nationwide online store with its own look, its own story and a blog that brings in shoppers through Google. The website feels like the brand because it was built from the brand.
