Real estate website design: North Georgia Lake Living
A luxury lake home brand, built lake by lake and town by town.
This real estate website design case study follows North Georgia Lake Living, a lakefront real estate team partnered with Keller Williams Realty. We designed a site that sells the lake life before it sells a listing, with a page for every lake and every mountain town, and grew it from 20 to 196 ranking keywords in six months.

Where it started
A dream market with a brand new domain.
North Georgia lake country sells a feeling as much as a house. Clear water, mountain views, a dock at sunset, and small towns like Blue Ridge, Hiawassee and Blairsville just down the road. The buyers are often from out of state, researching for months before they ever call an agent.
The team had the local knowledge and the backing of Keller Williams, but no website of its own in search. Semrush first saw the new domain in February 2026 with 20 ranking keywords, competing against portals that list every home in the state.
The plan: win the buyer before the portals do, by being the best guide to the lakes and the towns themselves.

The build
Sell the lake life first.
Out of state buyers do not start by searching for a listing. They start by searching for a place. So the site is built like a guide to North Georgia lake country, with listings waiting at every turn.
A homepage that feels like the lake
The homepage opens on a lake home glowing at dusk, then splits right away into the two reasons people visit: sell your lake home or buy one. Below that, a search bar by community, property type and location, a team introduction with lake photography, and a grid of the lakefront communities the team knows best.
Deep warm photography, white text and a single bold accent color keep it feeling like a luxury brand rather than a listings portal.
- Lake photography in every section.
- Search by community, property type and location right under the hero.
A page for every lake and every town
Six lake community pages cover Lake Blue Ridge, Lake Chatuge, Lake Nottely, Lake Burton, Seed Lake and Lake Rabun, each with an aerial hero, a guide to living on that lake and a direct path to homes for sale.
Town guides go further, covering Blue Ridge, Blairsville, Hiawassee, Young Harris, Ellijay, Jasper, Dahlonega, Helen, Clayton and Murphy, North Carolina. They answer what it is like to live there, what is nearby and how far it is to the next town, the questions buyers type long before they call.
Tools that start conversations
Sellers want to know what their home is worth. Buyers want to know what they can afford. The site answers both with a free home value estimator, a home affordability analyzer and a mortgage calculator, plus a free market analysis request for owners ready to list.
Add full MLS property search, videos and virtual tours, and dedicated buyer and seller pages, and the site does what an agent does at a first meeting, any hour of the day.

The playbook
Real estate website design for a lifestyle market.
In a market where people buy a way of life, the agent who explains the place wins the client. Every part of this site was built to be that guide.
Luxury look and feel
Rich lake photography and a restrained palette that reads like a premium brand.
Lake community pages
Six lakes, each with its own guide and its own path to homes for sale.
Town guides
Ten mountain towns covered for buyers comparing where to live.
Home value tools
Value estimator, affordability analyzer and mortgage calculator built in.
MLS search
Full property search so buyers never have to leave for a portal.
A lake life blog
27 articles answering the questions out of state buyers search first.
The results
From 20 keywords to 196 in six months.
Semrush first recorded the site in February 2026 with 20 ranking keywords. After a few months of settling in, the lake and town pages took off: 112 keywords in June, 185 in July and a peak of 196 in August, nearly ten times the start. Ubersuggest counts 152 keywords today, and the blog already sits in Google’s top ten for questions out of state buyers ask about the lakes, on a site Google has known for less than a year.

What comes next
The foundation is in place.
Real estate search is crowded, and the big transactional terms like lake homes for sale take time for a young domain to win. That is exactly why the site leans on lake guides, town guides and buyer questions first. They rank sooner, they build trust, and they point straight at the listings.
The next step is to keep building out each lake and town page and grow the blog, so the site moves from answering questions to showing up when buyers are ready to search for homes.
What it proves
Be the guide, win the buyer.
A real estate team cannot out-list the national portals. It can out-explain them. North Georgia Lake Living is now the guide to six lakes and ten towns, with tools that start conversations and listings one click away.
If you sell homes in a lifestyle market, the same approach is open to you.
